SUCCESS STORY

HISTORIC BEVERLY HOUSE

This historic home required a sensitive balance between preservation and modernization. The homeowners sought additional space for a garage, workshop, and home office, along with comprehensive interior updates to support contemporary living.
A new garage with an integrated rear workshop was added, and the second floor above it now features a versatile bonus room that serves as an office, along with a rear deck offering outdoor access and light.
The main house underwent extensive renovation on both levels. The first floor now includes a custom kitchen and a reconfigured living room featuring a fireplace and built-in library bookcases. On the second floor, the bedrooms and bathrooms were fully updated, and the laundry was thoughtfully relocated upstairs for greater convenience.
Working in collaboration with Remko Breuker of Breuker Design, the new addition was designed to blend seamlessly with the home’s original architecture. Every historical pediment and cornice was carefully recreated to ensure the addition reflects the same craftsmanship and character as the existing structure. The completed project preserves the home’s historic integrity while providing modern comfort and functionality for today’s lifestyle.
